JPEG: smaller sized images

Google has released a JPEG encoder called ‘Guetzli’ that promises to shrink an image's file size by up to 35% without losing any perceivable picture quality. The key word here is ‘perceivable’– Guetzli-compressed JPEGs will contain less detail but the loss is imperceptible to the human eye. The real benefit of this comes when uploading JPEGS to the internet. Smaller files = faster download times. According to some, claims that there is no detail loss are a bit grand. But, others suggest it improves picture quality.
